Sample Group Activities

1. In small groups, take a region and become an expert on this region. Visit some of the links and prepare a mini lesson for the rest of the group on your region.
   
   
2. Find out more about one of the influential Canadians-what did they do? Who are they? What did they contribute to Canadian life or history? Find out something really unusual or surprising about this person and share it with your group.
   
   
3. Look at some of the links to Canada's newspapers and other Canadian news sites and try to discover what you think are the most pressing issues for Canada today? What will be the most important issues for Canada's future?
   
   
4. Have your whole group look carefully at the course in detail. In teams, generate questions for the other teams to answer and then have a trivia contest to see who knows Canada the best.
