1. Before looking at the course, take ten minutes and write (or list) some of the ideas you had about Canada? What do you think of when you think about Canada? What comes to mind about Canada? Canadians?
   
   After you've looked at the course, look at what you've written. Now what are your ideas about Canada? What has changed? What hasn't changed? What new ideas have you learned about Canada?
   
   
2. Many people have tried to define the Canadian Identity. What do you think it is? What goes into creating a Canadian identity? Is there a Canadian identity or are there Canadian identities? Why does Canada struggle with this issue? In looking through the course, what factors are integral to forming the Canadian identity? What factors work against Canada having a strong sense of its identity? How would you define the Canadian identity.
